ABC Teach - Colorful, easy-to-browse website. Useful and creative materials and ideas www.abcteach.com

Barahona Center for the Study of Books in Spanish for Children and Adolescents - Contains a searchable database of "more than 6,000 in-print books" that deserve to be read by Spanish-speaking children (or those who wish to learn Spanish). Headings and descriptions are bilingual. Updated weekly by California State University, San Marcos. www.csusm.edu/csb/intro_eng.html

Caldecott Medal. The Caldecott Medal was named in honor of nineteenth-century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott.
